Half A Million Kilometers!

I have a RAV4 2003 Model 2nd Generation 4x2 Manual Transmission. In 2003, when I first saw the RAV4, immediately and with no doubt I decided to have one. Without thinking about where to get the money at a hefty Php 990,000 SRP. The RAV4 was really a head-turner back then and even now after 18 years. It is ine of the Toyota models that are completely built unit (CBU) Japan meaning it was made all and assembled in Japan. Being that means a lot to me knowing the high quality standards of the Japanese. In short, I got a loan in a bank and got my brand new RAV4. Driving a RAV4 has its distinct attention as there are only few units on the road. A feeling of exclusivity surrounds you when driving a RAV4 like a hard to find one among the usual cars. I had already set my mind that my RAV4 will be for the ling haul and I have to take good care of it. I drove my RAV4 and travelled most of Mindanao and sometimes in Visayas. I drove my RAV4 with all confidence that it will bring me and my family safety to my destination with no hassle that it may have some engine problems during my long drives. My RAV4 has been to different kinds of road and weather conditions, from dirt to paved roads, urban and rural to clear and very foggy roads, in daytime or all night driving. All of these conditions my RAV4 served me well with no problem. I took good care of my RAV4 and it served me well and so far I still able to maintain the fuel economy of 12-13 kms/liter hiway and 10-11 kms/liter city drive for over 18 years with a HALF A MILLION kilometers on the odometer and that is really amazing! Indeed its A Recreational Amazing Vehicle (RAV) if I may call it. No doubt I am now setting my sights on the fifth generation RAV4, and surely it will be another Half A Million Kilometers in the future! RAV-On!!!
