Toyota Motor Corporation gave the RAV4 nameplate an update not too long ago. 

And because the rollout for the crossover’s latest iteration won’t be until the end of fiscal year 2025, we’re going to take a look at the currently offered Toyota RAV4 in the country to scratch the itch. 

To make things better, we’re taking a peek at its eight available hues, which happen to represent some of its notable features. 

So, without further ado, here are the eight colors of the Toyota RAV4. 

Urban Khaki 

The Toyota RAV4’s Urban Khaki color appears to be some light shade of green with a hint of gray. As a result, you get a hue that’s not too tactical, but looks tough enough to handle any challenges offered by urban environments. 

And true enough, the crossover is equipped with features that make it more than ready to brave the challenges of the concrete jungle. 

The Toyota Safety Sense suite of advanced driver assist features ensures that those sitting behind the wheel are notified and alerted to help them better maneuver their vehicles while driving in the metro and even when cruising through the expressways. The list of the Toyota RAV4’s driving nannies includes the following: 

• Pre-collision system 
• Automatic high beam 
• Lane tracing assist 
• Lane departure alert
• Dynamic radar cruise control 

Attitude Black Mica 

Black is a color that relates to style, and the Toyota RAV4’s Attitude Black Mica brings out the bold beauty of the crossover. 

The pitch black hue accentuates the aggressive angles and solid lines found all around the vehicle. Its chiseled fore — paired with the somewhat furious-looking fascia — fits the Toyota RAV4’s outgoing character. 

Its rear echoes the same design language with plenty of angular accents on its body. Further, the crossover’s boxy behind makes for a strong and stout look that encapsulates the vehicle’s capabilities. 

Finally, the chrome accents on the Toyota RAV4 pop with the said black finish, making it look elegant and dynamic at the same time. 

Platinum White Pearl Mica 

We often relate white paint with safety, that’s because white vehicles — as studies suggest — are less prone to accidents than those finished with other colors. 

On that note, it is fitting to talk about the standard safety features one can expect when buying a Toyota RAV4. 

To begin with, the crossover gets basic technologies such as seatbelts and airbags. The former is available for all occupants, which includes three-point seatbelts for the front seats with an emergency locking retractor (ELR), a pre-tensioner, and a force limiter. Those sitting at the back get three-point ELR harnesses. 

As for the latter, the Toyota RAV4’s airbags include the following features: 

• Driver
• Passenger 
• Front side 
• Curtain shield 
• Knee (driver) 

In addition, it comes with the below standard safety technologies: 

• Blind spot monitoring 
• Rear cross-traffic alert 
• Anti-lock braking 
• Vehicle stability control 
• Hill-start assist control 
• Parking sensors 
• Cameras (back guide monitor or panoramic view monitor, depending on variant)

Silver Metallic

Silver is a hue that is usually tied with technology, and the Toyota RAV4 has plenty of toys to offer the tech-savvy car buyer. 

First, the crossover’s steering wheel is fitted with buttons to control some of the automobile’s features. Set here are switches for adjusting the volume, cruise control, and lane departure alert. Activating the voice command can be done via the steering wheel. 

Past it is either a 4.2-inch thin-film transistor display (sandwiched between two analog gauges) or a fully digital seven-inch multi-information monitor. 

Accompanying the said instrument cluster is an eight-inch infotainment system that has Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Like most center screens found in modern Toyota cars, this has a floating design with chunky bezels around it. 

Audio will be blasted to six speakers peppered around the cabin. 

Those who value convenience will be happy to find that the Toyota RAV4 comes with power windows, power door locks, and a power tailgate with a kick sensor. 

Finally, a wireless charging dock makes juicing up one’s smartphone with ease. 

Grayish Blue 

The Toyota RAV4’s grayish  blue color best represents its new hybrid powertrain. 

Under the crossover’s hood is a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor. The said system is mated to a continuously variable transmission that helps send power to the front wheel axle. 

Further providing some noticeable cues are the Toyota emblem with blue accent at the front of the vehicle and the “Hybrid” badge at the back.

At the time of writing, the author believes that the Toyota RAV4’s hybrid engine will be advantageous for many car buyers not only for its ability to move its owners sustainably but also because of the benefits the Philippine government has granted to electric vehicle adopters. 

With the rehabilitation of the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue and the implementation of a revised coding scheme (which will last for at least two years [report from Carmudi Philippines>), those using hybrids and fully electric cars can take full advantage of the perks of driving a new-energy vehicle. 

Red Mica 

Since we’re already on the topic of engines, the Toyota RAV4’s hybrid powertrain unit produces the following figures:

That said, the Toyota RAV4 has more than enough oomph to bring driver and passengers from point A to point B. Torque is also there, so it is capable enough to haul both creature and cargo. 

Red captures the peppy driving character of the Toyota RAV4, and we’re sure it offers owners a spirited experience behind the wheel. 

Gray Metallic 

Gray is a color that can be connected to reliability and dependability, two characteristics that the Toyota RAV4 has no shortage of. 

Supporting the crossover’s chassis is a MacPherson strut setup at the front and a double wishbone arrangement at the rear. 

Ensuring smooth stops is a set of disc brakes all around. The Japanese carmaker gave the iconic nameplate a pair of ventilated discs at the fore and solid discs at the back. 

Super White 

The Toyota RAV4’s Super White finish comes in as a light paint with a tinge of yellow. That said, it does hide dust a little better and looks good with the blacked-out claddings that cover the common touch points of the crossover. 

The said protective plastics can be found on the wheel arches, lower portions of the doors, and the front and rear bumper areas. For added protection, the Toyota RAV4 also has skid plate-looking trims, front and back.

The Toyota RAV4 is offered in two variants. Below are their respective price tags: 

Toyota RAV4 LTD	P2.362 million
Toyota RAV4 XLE	P2.052 million
