AP Cargo adds more Fuso Canter FE73 units to boost fleet

MANILA: Five Fuso Canter FE73 units were recently added to AP Cargo’s continuously-growing fleet.

The newly-delivered examples (turned over by the truck distributor’s dealer partner Christian General Motors Incorporated-Fuso Tarlac last February 27) are part of the logistics service provider’s ongoing efforts to bolster its service in the country.

Following this, Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) shared that AP Cargo’s fleet now has more than 300 units that carry the Fuso badge.

“We are extremely proud to see AP Cargo expand its fleet to more than 300 units. This marks a significant achievement in our partnership, and we are grateful for the trust that AP Cargo has placed in Fuso. Their continuous expansion is a testament to the durability and performance of our commercial vehicles, and we are excited to see how these new Fuso trucks will help their logistics operations,” SFP President and Chief Executive Officer Yosuke Nishi said.

Vehicle specifications

The Fuso Canter FE73 measures 5,785 millimeters (mm) long, 1,875 mm wide, and 2,110 mm tall (with a 3,400 wheelbase); which makes it a formidable option for logistics service providers.

Its 4,490 kilograms gross vehicle weight allows users to efficiently transport parcels —ranging from documents all the way to comprehensive logistics support and domestic and international transfers. Complementing this are the laminated leaf springs with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers for both front and rear that guarantees vehicle stability and its fuel tank that can carry 100 liters.

Powering the six-wheeler truck is a P10-WAT2 common rail direct-injection turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel engine, which can deliver the following churn:

The vehicle’s dual circuit disc brakes with anti-lock and electronic force distribution facilitate its halts and deceleration.
