Last weekend, GAC Motor Philippines showcased the capabilities of this sports sedan at its first-ever track day at the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC).

Through track exercises supervised by multi-awarded racing pro George Ramirez and his team, the attendees were able to experience the thrilling and responsive performance of the GAC Empow.

In the first activity, Ramirez showed each participant how easy it is to control the GAC Empow with its traction control, electronic stability control program, and stable steering wheel.

The next exercise demonstrated the acceleration and braking performance of the GAC Empow. It was proven in this activity that the sedan’s lightning-fast acceleration will have you feeling like a race car driver, while its exceptional braking system ensures that you can bring it to a halt whenever you need to, giving you the confidence to push the limits.

Right after this test was a slalom course that showcased the GAC Empow’s nimble maneuverability, which allows drivers to conquer corners and take on bends with ease. Its superb stability keeps you firmly planted on the road, allowing you to maintain control even during aggressive maneuvers.

The track day concluded with a hot-lap experience, where the GAC Empow showcased its smooth and powerful performance across the short course layout of BRC.

The GAC Empow’s impressive performance is made possible by the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 174 horsepower and 270 Newton-meters of torque. This engine is mated to a seven-speed wet-type dual clutch transmission.
