This HR director was convinced to get a Kia Sorento after a family trip to Korea

Because of its wide range of reliable vehicle models, Kia is becoming one of the top car brand choices of many Filipinos. Martin Lock, a Human Resources director and a family man, decided to purchase a brand-new Kia Sorento to accompany him in work-related errands and family trips.

When Lock was searching for a vehicle that would help him fulfill his responsibilities at work and home, he came across the dependable and versatile Kia Carnival, making him interested in what the car brand has to offer.

"My family and I went to Korea where we were fetched by a Kia Carnival. This made me realize that the brand Kia has come a long way in terms of performance and style. Hence, my interest in the brand and the cars they offer was piqued," Lock recalled.

Lock also shared how he decided which Kia model to purchase, saying, "I went online to look for the best-rated seven-seater SUVs and watched countless reviews of possible options. After narrowing down the options based on style, functionality, and security, I decided to choose the Sorento."

Lock is very satisfied with his Sorento as it serves as an efficient companion in doing work errands.

"Now, I get up every day and go to work driving comfortably with my mind at ease. It exceeded my initial impressions. I was surprised how light the steering wheel feels. It helps me to feel more relaxed while driving," Lock said.

The Sorento comes with a roster of features that make every drive smooth and hassle-free. It is powered by a 2.2-liter CRDi diesel engine that generates 441Nm of torque. The vehicle features a sophisticated cabin layout equipped with a seven-inch touchscreen audio with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, easy-sliding seats with premium leather upholstery, and rear air ventilation and power supply.

The Sorento features a monocoque chassis that makes driving smoother and more comfortable.

"This car has been a significant companion for our family especially in this pandemic. Since we cannot go out with the kids outdoors, our family bonding became long drives with the kids just to sightsee or buy food in drive-thrus," Lock added.

Aside from its noteworthy features, the Sorento is also known for its sporty and stylish appearance. It was even recognized in two prestigious global design competitions: the Red Dot Design Award and iF Design Award.

The Red Dot Design Award is an annual competition managed by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen. Meanwhile, the iF Design Award is organized by one of the leading design institutions in the world, the iF International Forum Design GmbH.

The two award-giving bodies commended the Sorento's outstanding product design, from its head-turning exterior to its elegant interior.
