11th PH EV Summit: AC Motors presents NEV lineup

MANILA: AC Motors showcased its new energy vehicle (NEV) lineup at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit.

The BYD Atto3, which was unveiled at the event, headlines the booth of the multi-brand distributor.

Producing a power output of over 200 horsepower (hp) and a torque of over 300 Newton-meters (Nm), the BYD Atto3 can achieve a pure electric range of 480 kilometers (km).

Other features that were highlighted were the rotating intelligent touchscreen, advanced driver assistance systems, and panoramic sunroof.

The BYD Atto3 will be officially rolled out in the local market in November.

AC Motors also adjusted the pricing of its BYD lineup in the country. The Dolphin is priced at P1.398 million; the Han, at P3.113 million; and Tang, P3.321 million.

According to AC Motors, all BYD models in the local market will be using Combined Charging System 2 (CCS2) starting next month.

Also featured at AC Motors’ booth is the Kia EV6, which was launched in the Philippines earlier this year.

The battery electric vehicle is based on the Electric Global Modular Platform and produces 229 hp and 350 Nm of torque. It comes with a 77.4-kilowatt-hour high-voltage battery pack that allows it to reach over 500 km on a single charge.
