2016 Honda Civic to Greet the World on 16 September

MANILA: September seems to be a tight-scheduled month for all the automobile enthusiasts, with all the eyes focused at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, there is still a lot going on the other side of the world. Honda is all set to introduce its tenth-generation Civic to world on 16th September, in the midst of world's renowned auto expo. With all these happenings, what's Honda thinking?

Well, it seems Honda is so confident with its next-generation Civic that it doesn't need the Frankfurt shed to launch its upcoming car. Los Angles and Detroit are the chosen destinations where the production version of new Civic will greet the audience. The car was first seen as a concept vehicle at the 2015 New York auto show.

The completely redesigned sedan will be most probably motivated by a 1.5-litre turbocharged VTEC four-cylinder power mill. With the new engine and turbocharger option, you can expect the new Civic to showcase a never-seen-before power output. The story doesn't end here as Honda's kit further holds a performance-oriented Si and Type R version that will use a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine.

Coming to the looks, the new Civic is expected to feature a sleeker and more defined body shape that will be integrated with a restyled grille and headlights. Also, the recent spy shots hint towards a revamped bumper and pulled out contour lines. Inside the car will hold a built-in information system and other amenities like heated seats and active safety system.

All the above specifications hint towards making a mean machine that is set to deliver best-in-class fuel efficiency and safety. Jhon Mendel, Executive Vice-President, American Honda Motor, said that the tenth generation Civic will get, “sporty driving dynamics, more daring styling, and significantly improved fit and finish.”
