2017 Chevrolet Colorado Plotted With 3.6-Litre V6 Engine

MANILA: The American giant Chevrolet has already announced that its 2017 Chevy Colorado is coming with a number of modifications in and out. This time, it is again hitting the automobile news for confirming that the US-bound Colorado 2017 has been upgraded with a new powertrain under its hood. Earlier, the changes revealed for the 2017 model, were restricted to exterior, interior and safety aspects only and with the news of arriving with a new power-unit, the robust pickup has taken the headlines with a storm as powerful as the new engine.

The US-centric Chevy Colorado 2017 is blessed with a 3.6-litre V6 engine which is capable of knocking out 312 PS of maximum power at 6800 rpm and a peak torque counting to 373 Nm at 4000 rpm. This data is a little higher in both power and torque segments than the already available V6 power-unit of the same capacity. Though there is not much visible difference in the second generation V6 engine than the existing one, but the improved variable timing for the intake and the exhaust makes it deliver better performance in terms of fuel efficiency by being light on engine load. This engine is mingled with a new 8-speed automatic gearshift which the American company has named as Hydra-Matic 8L45.

According to the Chevy officials, Chevrolet Colorado is already a popular name in the international market including the Philippines automotive market and the new model will surely help the company to move a step ahead in terms of sales and market capture. However, the authorities have not confirmed if the same V6 engine would be given to the 2017 Colorado coming in the Philippines, but the auto enthusiasts believe that the company would surely bring the new engine in our country to promote the sales. Standing in the middle of a tight competition with Nissan Navara, Isuzu D-Max, and Mitsubishi Strada, Chevrolet will put all the possible aspects to its new Colorado for the Filipinos to win the game.
