2019 BMW Z4 roadster formally makes its debut

MANILA: The all-new 2019 BMW Z4 roadster with a soft-top just made its official debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on Thursday. The German automaker has been manufacturing Z4 roadster since 30 years.

The company has launched only one variant till now but it has a lot of potential. The 2019 BMW Z4 roadster is loaded with a potent turbocharged inline-six which makes 340 PS of maximum power. The brand new car is expected to put out 500 Nm of torque but the company has not yet made any revelation in this regard. An approximate value of torque is predicted because it is given that the horsepower produced is same as of the M240i. It will be along with an eight-speed sport automatic transmission but it is still not sure if a six-speed manual will be there with it or not. These features match with the engine of yet-to-be-revealed Toyota Supra.

Some leaked photographs of the new 2019 BMW Z4 revealed the car’s exterior. It has vertical upswept tail lights with corona rings (angel eyes) put together on top of each other. And of course the thing which makes it a true BMW model is BMW’s signature kidney grille.

The wide bumper of the car has narrow air outlets on each corner and its slim L-shaped tail lights match the series 8 Coupe. The car also has a short rear deck and consists of almost all the features of a roadster vehicle. The drop top of the car gets exquisite styling because of the deep cuts on the fenders and the doors.

The cabin of the new BMW has also been fabulously designed keeping in mind the needs and desires of the driver. It is equipped with iDrive infotainment screen which is capable of adapting a floating design and is more extensive than ever, the dashboard is formed by sharp angles and geometric shapes which makes it more attractive. This variant of BMW roadster consists of a fully-digital instrument cluster.

As for the car’s update in regard to the Philippines market, nothing yet has been said by BMW Philippines. We, however, expect it to arrive post its European debut.
