This utility prone, multi-purpose vehicle is serving the nation since 2014 and has acquired for itself a respectable position in the auto market. Regarded as Suzuki Philippines most sold car, Ertiga was long due for an update and was insanely shooting for one. And guess what, Suzuki has finally decided to usher its existing line-up with a new 2016 Ertiga.

The said information was neither announced nor it was leaked, as a matter of fact, new Ertiga arrival was rather obvious for the preview website recently uploaded by the brand. Solely dedicated to the car, it does not say much and reveals information only in bits and pieces. Exterior Revisions -

All-new Ertiga is expected to carry a rather bold and aggressive look than its predecessor. On the front facial, it'll now get a new multi-layered chrome grille along with restyled fog lamp with chrome blaze. Also, it now sports a sportier bumper, new set of alloy wheels, and new back door garnishes with 'ERTIGA' embossed in bold letters, adding a dash of style to its persona.

Interior Enhancements -

Interior upgradations seek a bit more attention as compared to Ertiga's new exterior. Not only 2016 Ertiga now offers more comfort and convenience but there is an overall improvement in the occupants cabin-experience. It now features high-grade fabric that can be seen wrapping the seats and door trims. If it follows the footstep of its Indian sibling than you can expect features like - TFT DISPLAY SmartPlay infotainment system with a navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, reverse parking camera display and voice command. In addition, it'll come accompanied with features like Push-Start/Stop with smart key, 2nd-row accessory socket, and electrical foldable ORVM.

Under Hood Changes -

Unlike its Indian sibling, the one landing on the Philippines shore will not benefit from Suzuki's Smart Hybrid Vehicle Technology. Meaning that like the recently launched 2016 Ciaz this will too go non-hybrid in the Philippines. Feels like Suzuki Philippines is a bit sceptical but hybrid vehicles popularity and preference in the Philippines market. For the know information, new Ertiga is expected to house a new-generation 1.4L K14B in-line four-cylinder mill under its hood that now displays low friction level and high compression ratio. The said mill will be paired to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic gearbox depending on the variant.

Improved Safety -

Like all the other aspects, safety too is improved, now serving the occupants well. Rather than adding more features Suzuki has made many features standard across the Ertiga line-up. So now even the base variant will offer co-driver airbag, driver airbag, ABS with EBD, driver side seat-belt reminder, force limiter and seat-belt with pre-tensioner.

2016 Suzuki Ertiga Launch -
