Chery Auto PH continues push to grow dealership network

MANILA: After the reintroduction of the Chery Auto brand under United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), its official distributor, in November 2019, the auto brand prioritized the development of  an accessible and effective dealership network.

In only three months following the brand's debut and during the first month of 2020, Chery Auto Philippines was able to kickstart its sales operations nationwide. 

UAAGI President Rommel Sytin shared, “To jumpstart the growth of Chery Auto Philippines, we had no less than 15 new dealerships across the country just two months after the brand launch, welcoming many new Chery customers nationwide."

By the end of last year, the total number of Chery dealerships in the country reached 17, all of which provide test drives of the whole Chery model lineup. The test drives adhere with all safety guidelines consistent with COVID-19 protocols.

In Metro Manila, Chery launched dealerships along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City, in Alabang, in Pasong Tamo, Makati, in Pasig City, and in North EDSA. 

In Luzon, it inaugurated dealerships in Camarines Sur; GMA Cavite; Bacoor, Cavite; Bauang, La Union; Marilao, Bulacan; and in Cainta, Rizal.

The brand also has dealerships in Visayas and Mindanao — in Cagayan de Oro; Davao City; General Santos City; Talisay, Cebu; Bacolod; and Iloilo.

For 2021, the expansion of its network continues with the opening of new dealerships in Bacolor, Pampanga; Lipa, Batangas; Sta. Rosa, Laguna; and in Commonwealth Avenue, Fairview, Quezon City.

Chery Auto Philippines also has plans of launching a total of 25 dealerships nationwide in two to three years.

Sytin added, “The trust of our dealer partners is an important part of Chery Auto Philippines' continuous initiative to expand the dealer network not just in the metro, but also in previously untapped urban and rural markets."

The existing Chery dealers are multi-brand operations and have over 1,000 employees under the auto brand and more than 50 years of automotive experience. 

These multi-brand dealerships have some of the most highly competent and esteemed dealership principals and groups in the automotive sector.

The young dealer principals of Chery La Union said, “The return of the Chery brand has been remarkable and easier to handle because of the trust we have for UAAGI. Having driven the Tiggo models, we were able to see and feel how credible the brand will be this time. These crossovers offer great value for money, fun, character and charisma.”

Every Chery dealership will be completely fitted to boost the after-sales offers of Chery Auto Philippines, which include financing schemes, customer relations, service, and parts. This will guarantee a more convenient access to its trendy and value-for-money crossovers.

Chery Cagayan De Oro Dealer Principal Roger Chiu expressed, “With the support and potential of the brand and the team behind it, I believe that Chery is really going places. As a huge investment in the pipeline, the return of Chery and its dealer expansion will certainly generate more jobs in the future."

Currently, four crossover models are available from Chery Auto Philippines, namely, the midsize seven-seater Tiggo 8, the compact Tiggo 7 that was developed to introduce an updated variant through the all-new Tiggo 7 Pro, the subcompact Tiggo 2 and the Tiggo 5X.
