The Toyota RAV4 is a Series Parallel Hybrid that utilizes a 2.5-liter gasoline mill paired with electric motors.Seen at an 54th Golden Tee held at the Manila Golf and Country Club today, the yet-to-be-revealed version is a Hole-in-One prize for the tournament players.
To note, the nameplate is one of the models that Toyota Motor Philippines plans to bring this year— specifically within the initial half of the year.
This means that the model will be revealed on or before this year’s Philippine International Motor Show (which is scheduled on June 4-7 at the World Trade Center).
Possible specifications
While no details have been shared at the time of posting, here are some of the possible specifications of the upcoming all-new Toyota RAV4.
Globally launched in its home country, the Toyota RAV4 features a chiseled look — with the front fascia bearing striking similarities to the Camry.
Possibly powering the famed nameplate’s Philippine-bound version is the A25A-FXS 2.5-liter gasoline engine with electric motors (Series Parallel Hybrid System) mated to an electric continuously variable transmission. This powertrain has the capacity to deliver a peak of 240 horses.

Zigwheels Philippines is also looking forward to the Philippine-spec Toyota RAV4 to have the electronic four-wheel-drive system that controls front/rear driving force distribution between 100:0 and 20:80.
Likely welcoming occupants inside the cabin are black plastic portions and the 12.9-inch infotainment system.
Among the driver-assistive technology that will probably be slapped into the all-new Toyota RAV4 are the radar cruise control as well as panoramic view monitor.
In Japan, the pricing of the sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 starts at JPY 4.9 million (approximately around P1.83 million).
Quite a long shot but we are also looking forward to having the version’s plug-in hybrid kind that could be globally launched within the second half of the year up to the first quarter of 2027.
