Dongfeng PH offers extended battery warranty for EV lineup

MANILA: Dongfeng Philippines has extended the battery warranty for its electric vehicle (EV) lineup.

Per the local wing of the Chinese car brand, the extended battery warranty is a significant enhancement to its Dongfeng Electric Commercial Vehicles customer care package.

Effective immediately, the Dongfeng Rich6 True EV Pickup, EV30, EV35, and EV45, will now have an eight-year battery warranty or 200,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.

“We understand that the battery is the heart of any electric vehicle. That’s why we’re proud to offer this extended warranty to our customers,” Diamond Auto Group EV Corporation Technical and Aftersales Division Head Ramil Mendoza was quoted saying.

“It’s more than just a warranty; it’s a statement of our confidence in the quality of our products and our dedication to our customers’ success,” he added.

Per Dongfeng Philippines, the company’s move to increase the warranty of its offerings reflects its commitment to quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The brand’s electric commercial vehicles — it pointed out — are designed to meet the demands of businesses and fleet managers who require durable and efficient transportation solutions.

An example of an organization that uses Dongfeng EVs is Metro Pacific Tollway Company (MPTC). During the tollway operator’s EnviroSafe Tour — where it showcased some of the advanced and environmentally friendly features of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway and the MPTC South Hub in Imus, Cavite — Carmudi Philippines (sister platform of Zigwheels Philippines) was able to see the Dongfeng Rich6 used by the toll road firm.
