CSR efforts
Kicking of the efforts was the unveiling of the ceremonial marker for the outdoor classroom projects of the six Indigenous People communities in Davao City in partnership with the Philippine Eagle Foundation and Ford Davao.
Aside from that, the Blue Oval marque and its dealer volunteers also provided a provided essential supplies (food, vitamins, medicines, and groceries) volunteers during a program at Tahanan ng Mahal na Ina ng Guadalupe—a Missionary Sisters of Evangelization-managed home currently takes care of around 25 elderly women.
Further, the Global Caring Month for this year in the Philippines also paved way for a bayanihan effort at Gawad Kalinga PNOC Olaes Village in Cavite repainted houses, schools, livelihood structures, a basketball court, and a multi-purpose hall.
Led by Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes, the 40-man team also prepared Bayong ng Pag-Asa packages with food essentials and vegetables for more than 120 families.
Ford also spent time engaging with the children at the Rev. Fr. Vincenzo Idà Children’s Home in Batangas while helping provide essential supplies.
Extending its support to indigenous children, Ford had an engagement with Cartwheel Foundation by helping prepare a hot meals, tutor, and provide psychosocial support for children in Parañaque.
Ford employees also joined a community outreach and volunteer activity at Little Angels Home Incorporated (LAHI) and Munting Tahanan ng Nazareth where they helped distribute essential needs, clothing and vitamins to abandoned children with special needs as well as spent meaningful time with them through play, interactive games, and organized activities designed to foster fun and connection.
“Global Caring Month is an opportunity for us to come together as a Ford family and reaffirm our commitment to giving back to the communities around us,” Ford Philippines Government and Corporate Affairs Director Kent Primor was quoted as saying.
“While these activities are an important part of our efforts, our work does not end with Global Caring Month. We are continuing this commitment beyond September focused on supporting communities and creating meaningful impact,” he added.
