Ford PH will be selling only 200 units of the Ranger Raptor X

MANILA: Ford continues to strengthen its pickup truck portfolio in the country as it is sets to launch the new Ranger Raptor X, a limited-edition Ranger Raptor variant that features a more rugged and sportier look.

In a statement, Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Breen said, “The Ranger Raptor X leverages on the immense success of the Ranger Raptor in the market as we continue to boost our 4x4 truck lineup and reach a new group of performance pickup enthusiasts who are into aesthetic modifications.”

The Ranger Raptor made its debut in the local market in 2018 to capitalize on the success of the tough, versatile, and capable Ranger nameplate. Since then, it has become one of the top-selling pickup trucks in the Philippines.

The limited-edition Raptor X is expected to turn heads with its striking design elements and exterior upgrades. It features over-the-top (OTT) body stripes covering the bonnet, roof, and tailgate with a carbon twill texture in matte black surrounded by a searing red keyline graphic and side body stripe decal on side doors and rear quarter panel. It also comes with a matte black grille, door handles, bumper cover, tailgate handle, fender vent, and fog light bezel.

To make the Raptor X more resilient and capable in any road condition, it is equipped with an extended leg sports bar, red front tow hooks, and matte black wheels with 33-inch BG Goodrich All-Terrain tires.

The pickup truck’s cabin is equipped with body-contoured sport seats. It also comes with red stitching throughout the interior, with chrome accents on the air-conditioning vents. It is also designed with hydrographic and black accents across the dashboard.

The Raptor X is powered by a 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine that delivers 213ps of power and 500Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 10-speed transmission that has proven durability, plus on-road and off-road capability.

The new Ranger Raptor variant also features a terrain management system that offers six modes for various driving experiences. It also comes with 2.5-inch Fox Racing shocks that deliver 30% more wheel travel versus the standard Ranger.

The Raptor X is available in three body colors: Arctic White, Conquer Gray, and Performance Blue. Only 200 units of Raptor X will be rolled out in Ford dealerships starting July. It is priced at P2.038 million.

Additionally, Ford Philippines presents the Ranger Wildtrak 4x4 with a power roller shutter that enables improved security and utility. This new feature is an original equipment manufactured product that increases security and functionality when transporting cargo.

Breen stated, “At Ford, we remain committed to designing products and services that are attuned to customer needs and lifestyles. With the power roller shutter, our customers can enjoy added protection, convenience and safety with a feature bearing the Ford quality DNA.”

The power roller shutter can be activated from the cabin through a switch on the dashboard, a button in the tray, or through the key fob. It is designed with an anti-pinch feature to avoid any damage when it gets in contact with another object.

The Ranger Wildtrak 4x4 with power roller shutter is now available in all Ford dealerships nationwide for an introductory price of P1.728 million.
