NEV sales, warm European market reception cited as drivers for good sales

As such, sales outside its home country for the first six months of 2026 exceeded Geely Auto’s overall full-year overseas sales in 2025.
“The strong performance reflects the continued momentum of the One Geely strategy, with the Geely, Lynk & Co and Zeekr brands further expanding their presence across global markets,” the Hangzhou-headquartered car manufacturer said in a press release.

Strong NEV sales
Key to the numbers recorded by the brand is its new-energy vehicles (NEV), which account for 59 percent of its total overseas sales at 277,189 units. When compared to last year’s results, the said total reflects an increase of 585 percent.
In June alone, overseas sales surpassed 100,000 units for the first time, setting a new monthly record for the company's international business.
European connection
Aside from a strong NEV portfolio, Geely Auto also benefited from a warm market reception, specifically in Europe.
The marque entered seven European markets within just 45 days, including Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and France, reinforcing its presence in one of the world's most competitive automotive markets.
On that note, the Geely E5 (Geely EX5) and Geely Starray EM-i (Geely EX5 EM-i) models have now been introduced across over 20 European countries.
In parallel, Geely Auto further strengthened its distribution network by signing partnerships with leading dealership groups in Portugal, Austria, and Switzerland.
The Geely EX2 and Geely Starray EM-i continued to strengthen their international presence, with Brazil emerging as a standout market for the EX2 and the Starray EM-i becoming Australia’s best-selling plug-in hybrid electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) in May.
Supporting its continued global expansion, Geely Auto further strengthened its international operating capabilities during the first half of 2026 with initiatives like expanding its global parts distribution network to 13 facilities, as well as advancing localized manufacturing in key markets including Brazil and Indonesia.
“Together with a network of more than 2,000 sales and service outlets across over 100 markets, these investments reinforce Geely Auto’s long-term commitment to delivering localized products, services and customer experiences worldwide,” Geely Auto wrote.
Other Geely brands
Other brands under the Geely Auto Group umbrella recorded their respective achievements.
Lynk & Co., for example, accelerated its international expansion. The flagship 900 SUV penetrated markets like the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar, and Vietnam. Meanwhile, the 08 SUV (ranked as the best-selling D-segment plug-in hybrid in key markets including Vietnam and Mexico) was launched in Kazakhstan.
As for Zeekr, Geely’s luxury electric car division, surpassed 800,000 cumulative deliveries worldwide, marking a major milestone in its global development.
During the first five months of 2026, Zeekr led Hong Kong’s luxury vehicle market with a 40.7 percent market share.
The Zeekr 7X led the luxury SUV segment in Hong Kong during the same period and ranked first in Mexico’s luxury EV segment in April and May, while the 009 became Thailand’s best-selling electric multi-purpose vehicle during the first five months of 2026.

Geely also continues to make strides in the Philippine auto market, with its recent outing being the official launch of the EX2.
Per the carmaker’s local wing, the nameplate (which is the best-selling model in its segment in China) received over 1,000 reservations since March.
It expands the brand’s stable, which is made up of newly introduced models like the Geely EX5 and EX5 EM-i.
Of note, the Geely brand is now a direct subsidiary of of Geely Auto International.
Interestingly, despite the direct involvement of the parent company in the marque’s local operations, the Zeekr brand is distributed by the Autohub Group of Companies (led by now Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines President Willy Tee Ten), while Lynk & Co. is sold through the United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated, which steers other Chinese car brands like Chery, BAIC, Foton, Jetour, and Radar).
