Here are the variants and pricing of the all-new Toyota Avanza

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) officially launched today the third-generation 2022 Toyota Avanza — and released the MPV's key specs and prices. 

TMP said the four variants of the 2022 Avanza — which are available in the 72 TMP dealerships nationwide starting today March 7 — are "developed to cater to specific needs." 

Below are the variants, colors, and prices of the 2022 Avanza range:

In a release, TMP said the seven-seater MPV is  “fit for the fam, guaranteed to bring the joy of driving and more happiness on the road.”

"Through the years, MPVs have served as a practical choice for the day-to-day needs of Filipino families,” TMP President Atsuhiro Okamoto said during the vehicle launch. 

"That is why we are reintroducing our reliable, tried-and-tested model in the compact MPV segment. I am sure this full model change of this well-loved family car will bring more happiness for all,” he added.

Compared to the previous model, the all-new Avanza is now front-wheel drive and uses a CVT gearbox, among other mechanical updates. 

The exterior highlights of the all-new Avanza include new split-type headlamps, which are LEDs for the G variant. Meanwhile, 16-inch alloy wheels underpin the Avanza G. 

For equipment, a push-start button system and a 4.2-inch TFT Multi-Information Display is exclusive to the G variant. Auto-fold side mirrors are available in both G and E variants. 

The MPV also features what TMP calls a "Long Sofa Mode" seating configuration in the three rows of seats. 

The Avanza G and E are equipped with an eight-inch Audio Display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as USB ports. 

For safety, the Avanza G and E variants are equipped with a reversing camera and sensors. 

The safety equipment reserved for the Avanza G include Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Camera Traffic Alert, Vehicle Stability Control, and six airbags. 

The first-generation Avanza was launched in the Philippines in 2006 with 116,000 units of the MPV nameplate sold since then, TMP boasted.
