Here is the 2019 Suzuki Ertiga, comes with new design and engine

MANILA: The start of the year 2019 could not have been better for people looking to replace their old MPV with a new one or buying a new 7-seater companion altogether. Just like the Suzuki Swift and Dzire, the highly updated and anticipated 2019 Ertiga now rides on the “Heartect” platform.

The exterior of the 2019 Ertiga has gone through a major overhaul. The front fascia includes a bigger grille, slimmer headlamps, and an aggressive bumper. On the sides, the MPV now boasts a lot more creases and a character line running all the way from the quarter panels to the taillamps. Moving to the rear end of the new Ertiga, we find a new pair of taillights which kind of look inspired by the Volvo V40. The rear bumper is also revised and houses horizontally stacked reflector on either end. Sticking the car to the road are new 15-inch alloys.

The space inside the 2019 Suzuki Ertiga has been improved thanks to the larger dimensions of the MPV. While the wheelbase is the same as before at 2,740 mm, the MPV now stands 4395 mm long, 1735 mm wide, and 1690 mm tall. It is an increase of 130 mm, 40 mm, and 5 mm in the length, width, and height respectively. On the inside, the new Ertiga has received a flat-bottom steering wheel similar to the one in Swift. The interior has been done in a beige finish along with faux-wood elements. The base variant of the Ertiga features a 1-DIN sound system. Moving up, the mid-range models boast an 8-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, USB, Aux, AM/FM radio, navigation, and smartphone mirror link. The top trim gets the same connectivity features along with a 10-inch touchscreen display.

Talking about the space inside the MPV in detail, there is 153-litre of cargo available with the 3rd row unfolded. You can achieve a generous 550-litre of cargo with the last row folded. Want even more? Fold the second row and you have an overwhelming 803-litre to store all your baggage. 2019 Suzuki Ertiga specs tell us that power in the MPV is produced by the new K15B motor. It is a 1.5-litre 4-pot engine the produces 103 PS of maximum power at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 138 Nm at 4400 rpm. The power delivery is taken care of by either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission unit.

Suzuki has not compromised a bit on the safety aspect and has equipped the MPV with AnMANILA:ti-lock Brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist, immobilizer, dual front airbags, ISOFIX anchors for child seats, and side-impact door beams along with a reverse camera and rear parking sensors.
