HMPH hands over N units to first batch of customers

MANILA: Hyundai Motor Philippines Incorporated (HMPH) has set a new milestone by successfully handing over examples of the Elantra and Ioniq 5 N high-performance models to the country’s first batch of N customers.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What is the price of the Hyundai Elantra N in the Philippines?

In the Philippines, the Hyundai Elantra N is priced at P2.738 million.
  • What is the price of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N in the Philippines?

In the Philippines, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N retails at P4.25 million.
  • The occasion was marked by a ceremonial handover, which took place on the grounds of Okada Manila. In total, 18 N units were turned over to the customers of the marque’s Hyundai N dealerships, including Hyundai Alabang, Commonwealth, Makati, and Pasig.

Further excitement at the event was provided by performances by the Autocraft Drift Philippines team, as well as D Spec Motorsports Team Chief Executive Officer and professional drifter Sungu Cho. Through the sideways action performed by the drivers, HMPH highlighted the capabilities of the two N models.

As a reminder, the sportier versions of the Ioniq 5 and Elantra were built to conform to the three guiding principles of Hyundai N. For starters, “Corner Rascal” emphasizes the ability of N vehicles to tackle sharp corners and curves in a balanced manner.

The high-performance N models were also designed as “Everyday Sports Cars,” which are practical and comfortable for daily driving. Lastly, both locally available N cars come with inherent “Race Track Capability” straight from the factory.

“Hyundai N plays a crucial role in redefining high-performance driving in the Philippines, highlighting our commitment to providing innovative and future-ready mobility options for all Filipinos,” HMPH President Dongwook Lee said.

“This event is not just a handover ceremony but a testament to our dedication to pushing the boundaries of automotive technology,” Lee added.

For reference, the Hyundai Elantra N, which is priced at P2.738 million, utilizes a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine capable of producing up to 276 horsepower (hp) and 392 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, on the other hand, is priced at P4.25 million. At maximum, this electric vehicle can produce 609 hp and 740 Nm of torque. It also has a driving range of 448 kilometers on a single charge.
