Jaecoo J5 arrives in Cebu with limited-time ownership package

MANILA: The Jaecoo J5—now available in pure-electric and hybrid-electric options—has landed in Cebu and is being offered with a limited-time package worth nearly P50,000.

In a statement, Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines said that the nameplate’s formal entry into the Central Visayas market gives customers two electrified sport utility vehicle options with competitive pricing and intelligent technology.

The price tags of the two vehicles in Cebu are:

Designed for customers who want to experience electrified driving while retaining the convenience and flexibility of a hybrid powertrain, the J5 HEV is powered by Jaecoo’s Super Hybrid System (SHS) and features modern design, advanced safety features, and a Smart Cockpit designed to provide a more connected and convenient driving experience.

Meanwhile, the Jaecoo J5 EV boasts a New European Driving Cycle (NEDC)-rated driving range of 461 kilometers, giving drivers the confidence to travel farther on a single charge. A recent real-world drive observed by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) showed that the vehicle can cover 539.2 kilometers.

Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines offers a Battery State of Health (SOH) Warranty across its full vehicle lineup. The first-of-its-kind commitment in the Philippines provides free battery replacement if the battery’s State of Health drops below 70 percent within the applicable warranty period.

“This customer-first warranty provides owners with greater peace of mind and added confidence in making the transition to electrified mobility, particularly for customers considering a fully electric vehicle for the first time,” the company noted.

The two offerings have been on display at SM Seaside City Cebu since August 20 and will remain there until Monday (August 23). Public test drives will be available starting today, allowing customers to experience the J5 HEV and J5 EV firsthand.

As part of the launch activities, customers can also have a chance to win a Vivo V50 every day from August 20 to 23, while customers who make a full payment may receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab as a special token, subject to applicable terms, conditions, and availability.
