Lego’s new Speed Champion Set adds Dodge’s Challenger SRT Demon and Charger R/T

MANILA: Lego, the toy company has collaborated with the American brand, Dodge to make a miniature brick version of its cars. Two greatest products from the Dodge can now be seen in the downsized versions.

These Speed Champions sets are an alternative choice to fulfil the ultimate fantasy of muscle cars. Steve Beahm, chief of Dodge/SRT, Passenger Car Brands, Chrysler and Fiat at FCA North America said, “With the new Speed Champions set featuring the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, our youngest fans can now build and jump into the ‘driver’s’ seat of two of their ultimate fantasy muscle cars.” He also added, “We know that many of our Dodge//SRT enthusiasts become fans of the brand at an early age, and like me, also grow up building Lego vehicles that we dream of one day driving on the road.”

The new kit can be purchased including two cars, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. The playset will be available in three mini-figures: charger driver, challenger driver, and a racing marshal.

Both the cars feature a removable windshield, mini-figure cockpit, rubber wheels, two sets of rims, dual exhaust, rear spoiler and original design style and decorative stickers. However, the muscular Charger R/T also gets a removable supercharger, alternative engine cover, and translucent light-style elements.

Along with the cars, the kit contains a Christmas tree start light, which can be operated by a lever. The tree will countdown to start the race between the cars. The playset also comes with the Lego mini-figures, which implies that there will be a driver for each of the Mopar machines, with a race marshall.
