MG to showcase Cyber X, Cyberster Black at 2025 Goodwood FOS

MANILA: Morris Garages (MG) will be showcasing a slew of cars at the upcoming 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed (FOS). 

To be specific, the event, which will be held at the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex, United Kingdom, from July 10 to 13, will mark the appearance of the Cyber X concept car. The upcoming event will also feature the Cyberster Black.

To note, the two aforementioned vehicles previously made their debuts at the 2025 Shanghai International Automobile Exhibition. 

Cyber X concept

The Cyber X is described by MG as a rugged but compact "urban explorer" electric vehicle (EV). Designed with short front and rear overhangs, it is a boxy vehicle touted by the car maker as the perfect in-city car. 

Additionally, the Cyber X will show off the “potential” of MG’s up-and-coming ‘Cyber’ sub-brand. No further information was provided for the said marque, but it will likely focus on EV products. 

Cyberster Black

The Cyberster Black, per its name, is a limited version of the brand’s all-electric two-door convertible. What makes it stand out is its purely black color applied to both its exterior and its interior. 

Again, no specifications were provided by MG for the Cyberster Black, but it likely carried over the mechanical bits from the ‘regular’ Cyberster. 

In the Philippine market, the MG Cyberster retails for P4.5 million, and it features a dual-motor setup capable of producing up to 535 horsepower and 725 Newton-meters of torque. It can also cover up to 443 kilometers from a single full charge, according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP). 

Per MG Philippines, the Cyberster can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.2 seconds. 

Other models at 2025 Goodwood FOS

Apart from the MG Cyber X and Cyberster Black, MG will also make a run on the iconic Goodwood hill climb event with the MG EX4 - a one-off concept based on the MG 4 that was made as a tribute to the original MG Metro 6R4 rally car. 

To note, it will be the second time the MG EX4 will be making an appearance at the Goodwood FOS, with its first time dating back in 2023. 

At MG’s main booth at the event, it will also show off the MGS5, MG HS, and the MG 4 XPower.
