MANILA: Just like the updated 2016 ASX, Mitsubishi is also updating its other models with dynamic shield face. The next car that has received a refreshed fascia is the Outlander which was revealed on the first day of 6th Philippine International Motor Show. The updated Outlander PHEV was first showcased at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show and now Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has made it available in the country. The chrome finish and black paint at front, LED headlights and two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels are some notable changes of the updated Outlander PHEV.
In the cabin, you will be greeted with generous legroom, premium materials, new design trims for the seats and four-spoke steering wheel. Under the hood, it is equipped with a 2.0-litre inline-four engine, coupled to it is the continuously variable transmission (CVT). The officials have claimed that the engineers were able to reduce the frictional losses on the Outlander PHEV to a great extend, leading to an improved fuel economy of 20.2 kmpl. On full electric mode, the travel range comes out to be 60.2 km.
The prices of the updated Outlander PHEV are yet to be revealed and we expect that the sales will commence by the end of this year or in early 2017. Till then stay tuned to CarBay for all the updates of the ongoing 6th Philippine International Motor Show.
