Mitsubishi revealed the 2017 ASX Limited Edition

MANILA: Also known as Mitsubishi Outlander in other markets, the ASX lineup has been recently enhanced with a 2017 Limited Edition. The Japanese automaker will be showcasing the 2017 Mitsubishi ASX Limited Edition at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. The Limited Edition has received a slightly tweaked exterior package which grants the crossover a striking appeal.

What makes the ASX Limited Edition stand out over the standard version is the blacked-out add-ons accompanied with 18-inch alloy wheels. Further, the HID headlights, black mirror caps and an alloy fuel cap marks the difference.

In the cabin, the blacked-out theme continues to dominate and gives a sporty feel. One can also notice the red stitching, aluminum pedals and custom black fabric seats which are also equipped with heating function. Even, the touchscreen infotainment system has been updated and now comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.  

There is no specific information about the powertrain updates but, the US spec version comes with two engine options. The first is a 2.0-litre 4B11 mill which produces 150 PS maximum power and 197 Nm peak torque. The second option is a slightly bigger mill, a 2.4-litre 4B12 that delivers a maximum power of 170 PS and peak torque of 226 Nm. Both the engines are coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. The option of INVECS-III CVT is also available for the US spec ASX.

In the Philippines, the Mitsubishi ASX is offered with only one engine option which is a 2.0-litre In-Line 16-Valve DOHC MIVEC that produces a maximum power of 150 PS and peak torque of 197 Nm. The CUV is available in two trims - GLS and GSR, both are coupled to CVT. One can clock 100 kmph from still in a time span of 11.3 seconds while top speed stands at 193 kmph.

We are not sure whether Mitsubishi Philippines will launch the ASX Limited Edition here or not but, the car will arrive at US dealerships by the end of this month.
