More Ford Rangers on their way to the Philippines

MANILA: Following the huge success of the Ranger pickup series in the Philippines. Ford, the American automobile veteran is going to rope in even more variants of the Ranger in the country. Since its arrival, the Ranger series has been very well received by the Filipinos. This majorly is due to the wide array of options we have. With multiple variants available, every Filipino can have a pickup that suits his/her needs.

Bertrand Lessard, who is the Ford Philippines Managing Director, in an interview asserted that the Ford Ranger lineup is going to expand very soon. On details of the new models, the MD said that the upcoming variants will be similar to the F-Series pickups which the manufacturer is currently offering in the United States. If F-350 and F-700 are coming to your mind then no, the new models for the Philippines will not bear similarities with these two. Majorly because these two pickups are full-fledged commercial vehicles. Ford is more keen on offering more of a passenger pickup series in the country, just like it does now.

With more options and variety available, Ford believes it will allow the manufacturer to meet the demands and likes of a much bigger plethora of customers. The specific time period, however, was not revealed by Bertrand Lessard regarding the arrival of new Ranger series. But the MD said it will be happening sooner than later for sure. Also, whether the new variants of the Ford Ranger will be exclusive to the Philippines or if they will be offered in other ASEAN countries as well, remains to be known.
