Nissan to showcase all-new Elgrand, refreshed Ariya at JMS 2025

MANILA: Nissan Motor Corporation’s booth at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show 2025 will feature the all-new Elgrand as well as the updated Ariya. 

For now, no further specifications were shared for the all-new Elgrand, but it could very well be the Japanese marque’s prime contender against the Toyota Alphard. It was also shared by Nissan that it will sport the marque’s next-generation e-Power system.

Meanwhile, the updated Nissan Ariya was confirmed by the Yokohama-headquartered car maker to come with a heavily revamped exterior design and a new powertrain that can offer a maximum output of 214 horsepower. It also boasts a range of 487 kilometers, a vehicle-to-load system, and a Google-powered infotainment system - among others. 

Also, the brand will be showcasing the third-generation Leaf, which was previously launched back in June 2025, and is already in production in its home country and in England. The Europe-exclusive Micra, the all-new Roox kei car, and the Chinese domestic market N7 sedan will be showcased at JMS 2025 as well.

Nissan JMS 2025 booth

Apart from electrification being the forefront of Nissan’s JMS 2025 booth, it will likewise carry a manga-inspired design. The aforementioned, which the brand has called a “bold artistic statement” is in-keeping with its JMS theme of “Culture, Creation, and Future.” 

Manga, or Japanese comics, after all, is one of the most significant cultural identifies of the Land of the Rising Sun. 

“As designers, we find profound inspiration in Japan’s vibrant creature culture. This year’s booth is a celebration of that spirit - melding artistry and innovation to offer visitors a glimpse into the future of mobility,” Nissan Motor Corporation Global Design corporate executive Alfonso Albaisa said. 

“While the visual concept sets the stage, the true essence will come alive once visitors step inside, bringing their own color and energy to create a dynamic contrast against the backdrop,” Albaisa added. 

To note, the upcoming JMS 2025 will be open to the public from October 31-November 9, 2025. Tickets are already available from the event’s official website and from a variety of JMS ticketing partners.
