Suzuki Swift 2017- Official Design Images Leaked

MANILA: The leaked images of 2018 Suzuki Swift show the tweaks done to make the hatch more appealing. Modernized elements added to the vehicle include large hexagonal grille at front, freshly-designed headlamps, sloping roofline, revised tailgate, wrap-around tail lamps and the rear door handle that is mounted on the C-pillar instead of its orthodox position.

The interior of the next-gen Swift has undergone a significant transformation housing a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with flat bottom as seen in VW Polo, refreshed instrument dials, a big display screen at the centre console, and new HVAC controls. It will also receive silver accents across the dash, on the centre console, near the gear knob and on the door panels. While in another trim, these accents are red giving a sporty feel to the cabin.

It is speculated to underpin a 1.2-litre K-Series and a 1.0-litre Boosterjet engines. These engines would be coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox or an AMT or a CVT, the scenario is vague and it’s hard to comment on the same.

However, the exciting part is that the new Swift will feature the same lightweight platform as that of Suzuki Baleno, which would certainly take the performance coefficient of the hatch to a new level.
