Tamang Ride PH aims to educate the public on road safety and help reduce the number of road fatalities in the Philippines.First off is the Tamang Ride PH Social Media, which is set to leverage popular online social platforms for public engagement, awareness-raising, and community building. Second is the Tamang Ride PH App, which is still in its prototype stage, but is otherwise capable of providing the public with road safety resources, a road incident reporting tool, and a means to locate certified road safety trainers.
The third one is the Tamang Ride PH Road Safety for Children & Youth, which, according to ACTION, “offers age-appropriate educational materials to equip young road users with essential knowledge and values for responsible road behavior.”

Through the aforementioned initiatives, Tamang Ride PH road safety advocacy, its founder and president Hajime Yokota, shared his confidence that the Philippines is capable of reducing its annual number of road fatalities as much as Japan right now.
“Last year, the Philippines saw 13,000 deaths. With that, we get an average of 35 deaths a day. In Japan, way back 1970s, when I was in elementary school, 16,000 people died from road accidents,” said Yokota.
“Last year in Japan, around 2,700 died. Still bad, but malaking bawas (a huge reduction). I think Filipinos can do that. Ayaw kong makita mamatay ang Filipino, especially mga bata sa kalsada (I don’t want to see Filipinos, especially children, die on roads),” Yokota added.
To support Tamang Ride PH in its mission, the organization has partnered with several car and motorcycle brands operating in the Philippine market. The aforementioned includes:
