TMP starts delivering next-gen Tamaraw units to customers

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has started rolling out the initial units of the next-generation Tamaraw — kick-starting the “Abante, Posible” campaign.

Among those that receive the units belonging to the first batch were Filipino vlogger Motodeck, who got his unit in Toyota Batangas City. He is already using his vehicle to transport his motorcycles.

The rollout of units followed the model’s nationwide kick-off last December which was seen by more than 100,000 visitors who went to the eight locations:

• San Fernando City, Pampanga
• Quezon City and Makati City in Metro Manila
• Sta. Rosa City, Laguna
• Cebu City in Visayas
• Davao City and Cagayan De Oro City in Davao

Also showcased in the event last month were Food Truck, Camper RV and Mobile Van options — available for purchase directly from authorized Toyota dealerships. 

Other stock variants include Dropside, Utility Van, and Aluminum Cargo.

Currently retailed in diesel-fed powertrain variants, the next-generation Toyota Tamaraw is available at a starting price of P937,000 (2.4 Dropside M/T option). The gasoline-powered variations (expected to be at sub-P800,000 price point) will be offered at a later date.

Relatedly, the next-generation Toyota Tamaraw can be had with exclusive value chain offerings such as the following: 

• Service discount voucher for Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS) up to 40,000KM check-up 

Customers who purchase the Tamaraw between December 2024-January 31, 2025 shall be given a P1,200-service discount voucher, which are applicable to as much as nine PMS — between the 1,000-kilometers (km) and 40,000-km check-ups. 

Valid at all authorized Toyota dealerships nationwide within a 48-month period from the date of release, the coupon makes it affordable to maintain the aforementioned model — helping owners keep their units in top condition.

• Trade-in Promo  

Clients can trade in their old vehicle for a brand-new Tamaraw and enjoy rebates of up to P20,000. The rebate may be used as a cash discount or for purchasing Toyota Genuine Accessories, adding even more value for Tamaraw buyers.  

• Special Financing Offer 

Owning a next-generation Toyota Tamaraw became more convenient as TMP created a special financing offer and the option to choose between weekly or monthly payments. 

For example, the next-generation Toyota Tamaraw Dropside, can be had at the following payment terms:

• Variant: Toyota Tamaraw 2.4 Dropside DSL M/T
• Suggested retail price: P937,000
• Downpayment: P93,700 
• Weekly amortization (based on 10-percent downpayment): P4,629.75
