Manila City gov't gets 20 Yamaha Nmax from Chiang Kai Shek College

MANILA: An additional 20 units of Yamaha NMax were donated to the City Government of Manila.

Manila Mayor Francisco Domagoso received the units from Chiang Kai Shek College to support the local government’s efforts to augment security in the city.

According to him, the Manila Police District will use automatic transmission motorcycles to further speed up the authorities’ response time or even help prevent crimes from occurring within the area.

The city mayor noted that the latest set was the third batch of motorcycles given to the city government.

As seen in the video, all the Yamaha Nmax units handed over were fitted with crash bars that generally protect motorcycles during crashes or falls by creating a gap between the pavement and the vehicle. Additionally, the units were also outfitted with a pair of fog lamps.

All other portions are likely kept in stock condition.

These police force’s units are equipped with a four-stroke, four valve, single overhead cam, 155 cubic-centimeter engine that can dish out the following numbers:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	15.15
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	14.2

Power is sent to the rear wheel via a V-belt automatic transmission. Cops can cover more streets in the city over a longer period, thanks to the 7.1-liter fuel tank paired with the fuel-efficient mill.

Since these are the “Standard” kind (not the Tech Max), they are all fitted with:

• Smart key
• Anti-lock braking system
• Stop-and-start system
• Electric power socket
• 13-inch alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tires

Meanwhile, stability and controllability are assured by the combination of suspension and braking systems composed of:

Brakes	Single disc type (front and rear)
