Suzuki reminisces rich history at PH MotoHeritage Weekend 2023

Suzuki Philippines  (SPH) recently looked back at its rich motorcycle history when it participated in the Philippine MotoHeritage Weekend.

Held at Filinvest Tent last September 23-24, the occasion gathered Suzuki riders from both the Big Bikes and commuter class segments.

At its booth, the Japanese marque’s local motorcycle distributor displayed its offerings ranging from the V-Strom line (1050DE, 800DE, and 250SX), Burgman series (400 ABS, Street EX, and Street), GSX roster (R1000 and 8S), Gixxer lineup (250 and 250SF), as well as the Raider R150 (touted as the King of underbones).

One of the notable Suzuki models displayed in the Philippine MotoHeritage Weekend 2023 was Jay Taruc’s Tempter 400.

Further, SPH also offered free test rides on its 250-cubic-centimeter (cc) to higher displacement motorcycles.

To note, the brand is one of Japanese motorcycle manufacturers in the world that is more than 100 years of age.

Founded in Hamamatsu, Suzuki started as a company manufacturing weaving machines. It was only in the 1950’s when the marque began its motorcycle business journey when it started producing the Power Free 36cc – a two-cycle auxiliary bicycle engine.

From then on, the brand began creating remarkable models such as the Hayabusa (considered as the fastest production bike), GSX-R (MotoGP award winner).

“Coming from this heritage, Suzuki is now one of the biggest and trusted automotive brands in the world, not just in two wheels but also on four wheels and marine engines bringing its signature manufacturing philosophy of durability and performance that improve people’s way of life in many ways. With this philosophy, Suzuki continues to develop new products for the customers,” SPH claimed in a statement.
