The Toyota Hiace is not very common in the roads of Philippines, but still, if you manage to drive one, or take a trip on it, you will understand how valuable it. I could only experience the Hiace as a passenger and it was the Commuter trim. Each of the 15 seats is very comfortable and properly cushioned. The aisle is wide enough to walk through without hurting the person sitting. Plus, while sitting, I have noticed that the cooling system is above par and even the last row does not get suffocated after a while. You can easily go off for a nap as the suspension setup is praiseworthy. The engine also seems to work as promised. The 3.0 liter engine can go up to 136 hp power and 300 Nm torque, which manages to pull all the passengers with ease, that too, at a good pace.
