Jaecoo Philippines rolled out the J5 SHS-S at the recently concluded Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2026. There, it enjoyed the spotlight it deserved and had plenty of interested buyers check out the sub-P1 million hybrid crossover.

Snowy White

On that note, the Jaecoo J5 SHS-S is fitted with plenty of safety amenities such as the following:

Green is the color of nature, and the Jaecoo J5 SHS-S is a vehicle touted to help buyers drive further with fewer emissions compared to its full combustion engine-powered competitors. 

Powering this model (which the company described as the “best light off-road SUV (sport utility vehicle") is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline hybrid system that can generate 342 horsepower and 525 Newton-meters of torque. 

These numbers will allow mountain junkies (or adventurous families looking to try out local glamping sites) enough “oomph” to reach their destinations without breaking a sweat. 

Its hybrid powertrain can reach 100 kilometers per hour from rest in 7.9 seconds. 

Range-wise, the Jaecoo J5 SHS-S can cover a little under 1,000 kilometers with a fuel consumption of approximately 23 kilometers per liter. 

Canyon Black 

Black brings out the elegance and opulence that the Jaecoo J5 SHS-S has to offer. 

At the fore is the brand’s waterfall front grille and distinct “Mountain Road” lights. 

The side profile lacks blacked-out claddings, which further reinforces its luxurious looks. The side mirrors have some black trims and are equipped with cameras for improved visibility. Rounding up the features one can spot from this angle is a pair of roof rails. 

Its rear end has a power tailgate, a sporty spoiler, and a discreet rear bumper. 

Glacier Blue 

Blue is representative of intelligence and advancement, and these are things that the Jaecoo J5 SHS-S has no shortage of. 

Past the multi-functional steering wheel is a digital instrument cluster paired with an eye-catching 13.2-inch vertically-oriented infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity. 

Audio is blasted to eight Sony-branded speakers, and occupants can take good cabin selfies thanks to its panoramic sunroof that lets in a good amount of natural lighting. 

Zircon Gray 

Finally, gray is a color that represents reliability and dependability. 

For this segment, it is only fitting to talk about the Jaecoo J5 SHS-S braking system, which is comprised of discs, front and back. These prove to provide drivers with a system they can trust, whether they are going for a smooth deceleration or a snappy halt — depending on the situation, of course.
