11th PH EV Summit: MG displays EV models

MANILA: MG Philippines showcased its two new pure electric vehicle (EV) models, the MG 4 and Marvel R, at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit held on October 19-21 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Launched earlier this month, the MG 4 and the Marvel R both deliver electrified performance and sleek aesthetics. These two EVs have been highly acclaimed globally for their functionality and affordability.

Powered by a 150-kilowatt (kW) electric motor and a 64-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack, the MG 4 delivers up to 200 horsepower (hp) and 250 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. It has a range of up to 435 kilometers (km).

This electric hatchback features a sporty vibe that appeals to the younger market. It is designed with a striking front fascia, a sloping roofline, a dual-wing rear spoiler, and a full LED tail light cluster.

Available in two variants, the MG 4 is priced at P1,468,888 for the Standard trim and P1,738,888 for the Lux trim.

The Marvel R, on the other hand, is powered by a 137-kW electric motor and a 70-kWh battery pack that delivers up to 184 hp and 255 Nm of torque. It has a range of 402 km.

Compared to the MG 4, the Marvel R sports utility vehicle features a more minimalist styling with LED headlights, daytime running lights, and tail lights; flowing body lines; and 19-inch wheels.

The Marvel R comes in a two variants: the Alpha priced at P2,588,888 and the AWD priced at P2,888,888.
