2018 Toyota Rush prices and variant details leaked 

MANILA: With the recent announcement from Toyota Motors Philippines, the official launch of the Toyota Rush, the newest mini-SUV on the block, is not very far away and is slated for a May 2018 release. But at the time of the announcement, the technical specifications weren’t revealed.

However, it seems that the Toyota agents in and around the Metro Manila region of the Philippines are very eager for the launch. Two of the agents from the region, 'Toyota Commonwealth Inc' and 'Toyota Shaw Incorporated' have leaked quite a lot of details of the SUV, including the variants, prices, and colors on offer.

The leaked information reveals that the Toyota Rush 1.5E will have two variants, that are, a manual and an automatic. Both the 1.5E M/T and 1.5E A/T will be 5-seaters. Moreover, the top variant is the 1.5G, which would only be available with an automatic transmission gearbox and a 7-seater layout.

Under the hood of the 2018 Toyota Rush SUV, there will be a 1.5-litre petrol engine doing the duties. The power would be transmitted to the rear wheels, just like the Avanza, via a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual unit.

As per the post made by Toyota dealers, the Rush will be offered in six colour options, namely, Bronze Mica Metallic, Bordeaux Mica Metallic, Black Mica Metallic, Red Mica Metallic, White Mica Metallic and Silver Mica Metallic.

Also, according to the agents, the Toyota Rush 1.5E M/T would bear Php 948,000 price tag while the 1.5E A/T and 1.5G would have Php 988,000 and Php 1,070,000 price tag respectively. However, since there has been no official word from Toyota about the pricing, the company may play with the pricing a little if it deems fit. But as far as the market strategy is concerned, the prices would be competitive and the changes, if any, wouldn’t be huge.

The Toyota agents are already accepting reservations for the Rush and the official local debut will happen in around two weeks’ time.
