2019 Toyota Vios available for sale in the Philippines

MANILA: The Toyota Vios has been a quality sedan from the company in the Philippines market and has managed to churn out good sales numbers. Hence, going by this reputation, the company has brought the 2019 update for the car in the country with a sleeker makeover and a lot of new features on the list. The same is now available for sale in the country. Interested individuals can check them out at the nearest Toyota dealership. 

 2019 Toyota Vios is powered by either a 1.3-litre or a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine under the hood. The smaller engine is capable of churning out a maximum power of 98 PS at 6,000 RPM, along with a peak torque of 123 Nm, which comes at 4,400 RPM. On the other hand, the bigger motor is slightly more powerful, taking the total power output to 106 PS at the same 6,000 RPM and a peak torque of 140 Nm at 4,200 RPM. The power is channelled down to the wheels either by a 5-speed manual or a CVT unit with 7-speed manual shifter.

There is a host of changes inside the cabin of the new Vios. There is a new 3-spoke steering wheel along with a three-pod setup for the instrument cluster. The front portion has been redesigned and that is evident on the newly-shaped air conditioning vents and a shifter in the CVT trims. The top trims have features like a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and leather-wrapped steering.

On the aesthetic front, the new Toyota Vios is sportier than the version it replaces. The sleek and swept back headlamps are complemented by the fresh front grille design. The top trims have LED DRLs that are placed on the bumper and not with the headlights. The LED combination taillights complete the fresh design. It can be had with 15-inch or 16-inch wheels. However, the Base and “J” trims ride on 14-inch wheels.

Even the safety department of the 2019 Toyota Vios has been taken to the high. It has received a 5-star rating at the ASEAN NCAP crash test, thanks to the outstanding features like the ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution and braking assist, hill start assist and vehicle stability control. The cabin now has seven SRS airbags for complete safety of all the occupants.

The new Vios price starts at PHP 659,000 and extends up to PHP 1,095,000 for the top-of-the-line trim.
