2025 Subaru Forester makes global debut at Los Angeles Auto Show

MANILA: Subaru has unveiled the 2025 Forester at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show.

    Upgrading the renowned rugged appeal of its predecessors, the sixth-generation Forester sports a bold grille, compact LED headlights, prominent shoulder lines, and pronounced wheel arches. The updated Subaru star cluster emblem also makes its debut on the new Forester.

    The Base and Premium models are fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels, while the Limited is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels. Standard on the Sport and Touring models are 19-inch alloy wheels.

    Inside, the Forester is equipped with the Subaru Starlink 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity. It also comes with a dual-zone heating/cooling control to provide superior ventilation around the cabin.

    Powering the 2025 Forester is a 2.5-liter Subaru Boxer engine that produces 180 horsepower and 241 Newton-meters of torque. It is mated to a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission.

    All variants of the new Forester come standard with the updated Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system that promises a quicker response time and improved control both on- and off-road. The Premium model has a driver-selectable X-Mode with hill descent control, while the Sport, Limited, and Touring models are equipped with dual-function X-Mode for better performance under a wider range of adverse conditions.

    The latest version of the EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is also standard on the new Forester. It includes advanced driver assistance systems such as automatic emergency steering, reverse automatic braking, blind-spot detection, emergency stop assist, rear seat reminder, and DriverFocus distraction mitigation system.

    According to Subaru, the pricing of the new Forester will be revealed closer to the on-sale date in 2024.
