ASEAN 2019 Toyota Camry enhanced with TRD Sportivo kit

MANILA: Toyota has decked the 2019 Camry with the TRD Sportivo kit to make it an attractive ride choice for the younger audience. The availability of TRD Sportivo Aero kit has given the vehicle a more aggressive and sportier look. The vehicle has already reached the shore of Japan, Thailand, and the US. Now, it is expected to make its debut in the Philippines by the first half of December 2018.

Any variant of the Toyota Camry can be decked with the TRD Sportivo kit. The kit only focuses on making cosmetic enhancements with no power boost being channelled to the engine. The recently launched all-new Toyota Camry in Thailand is available with three motor options that include 2.0-litre, 2.5-litre, and a Hybrid 2.5-litre variant. In the case of the display model in Bangkok, it's on the entry-level 2.0 G variant.

Toyota Racing Development (TRD) has a new kit on the offer for the Camry that aims at enhancing its aggressive design a bit further. The model now flaunts a more dynamic design language with noticeable redesign elements. The front fascia houses a new black-colored grille with glossy touch-ups instead of the old one. The bold-looking front chin extends now far away from the auto body and is placed lower at the bottom portion of this midsize sedan. A couple of lower skirts comes adorned with a gloss black strip bordering the sides of the car.

The rear end of the vehicle gets a more robust restyling with more substantial spoilers and other TRD Sportivo package items. The boot lid spoiler stretches longer away from the vehicle's body. A redesigned exhaust now houses the rear bumper kit. The Camry rides on contrast coloured wheels with standard tires.

The starting price of Toyota Camry is THB 1.445 million (Php 2.30 million). In Malaysia, the fully-imported new-generation Camry is available in a single variant cost around RM 190,000 (Php 2.38 million).
