Brilliant and Brand New BMW 7 Series in Detail
MANILA: Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW), the German automobile manufacturer has revealed its another ultimate driving machine, the flagship 7-Series sedan which may not look different at first sight but is a complete state-of-art. The brand has made optimum use of its engineering excellence to come up with this new G11 7 Series which does not carry any baggage of drawbacks from its predecessors. A lot of carbon fiber is added with steel, aluminum, plastic and magnesium to shed weight up to 440 pounds. So, the new 7 Series is not only stunning and swift but also promises a lot of more safety and comfort features.
The evolutionary exteriors of the 7 Series include the wide twin kidney grilles with elongated laser light headlights that resemble a lot to its 3 Series. From the side, the sedan carries the aluminum strip that runs from the fender till the end of the rear door. The 6 Series Gran Coupe's tail lights have been obtained here, through which an aluminum strip passes. Moreover for the first time the doors and trunk lid are made of aluminum.
The impressive interiors have a wonderful combination of modernity and ethnicity where there are driver-oriented dashboard and the intrigued iDrive screen that also features gesture control technology. A dose of redesigning is also visible on the electronic gear selector. The sedan will be available with a wide choice of interior trim and fabric options whereas the metallic switches and touch sensitive controls are standard.
The long wheelbase models of the new 7 Series will also come with Executive Lounge Package which features ventilated seats, power rear seats with a massage function and a four-zone automatic climate control system. A rear console is also counted which shacks a fold out table, cup holders, and 7-inch touch command tablet. Another interesting feature is the Ambient Air Package that will release one of the eight fragrances so that cabin stays odor free. The panorama glass sunroof makes this model a luxury mode which runs on the road while allowing you to experience sky.
BMW has always combined the safety and convenience of a four-wheel drive and, therefore, the 7 Series models come with two-axle air suspension system with Dynamic Damper Control and automatic self-leveling. Another highlight is the Remote Control Parking which allow drivers to have the ease of park in or out without actually being at the wheel.
In the beginning, the models of 7 Series, the 730 d, and 730 Ld will come with a 3.0-litre Twin Power Turbo six-cylinder engine that will throw 265 PS of power and 620 Nm of torque. The 740i, 740 Li, 750i, and 750Li will be fitted with Twin Power turbo engine which will deliver power in the range of 326PS to 450 PS and torque in the range of 450 Nm to 650 Nm. Like never before, BMW has also came up with a 2.0-liter Turbo Power four-cylinder petrol engine that will be seen in 740e, 740 Le and 740Le xDrive plug-in hybrid along with a 95 PS electric motor that would give combined output of 326 PS as power and can reach top speed of 120 km/h.
As BMW says, it is the most dynamic car in its class as well as the lightest luxury sedan in its segment. Therefore, the wait would be worth of the G11 7 Series, the sales of which is yet to be announced.
