Dongfeng Motors PH offers limited-time deal for Nammi EV

MANILA: Dongfeng Motors Philippines has slashed the sticker price of the Nammi compact hatchback to from P1.238 million to P998,000. 

Reflecting a savings of around P240,000, the said price drop will run until July 31, 2025. The discount is available through the company’s dealerships in the following areas: 

• Bacoor, Cavite 
• Ortigas, Pasig 
• Caloocan 

“Moving forward until July 31, it will be the lowest in its class in terms of compact hatchback EV (electric vehicle)… Right now we’re bringing the price to P2,326 per-range, per-kilometer,” Dongfeng Motor Philippines Vice President for Operations Giovanni Frias said. 

“Our lowest competitor is not even close, is around P2,400… priced at P688,000, but range is 200 kilometers,” he added. 

Dongfeng Nammi specifications 

The Dongfeng Nammi is an EV aimed at young adults and professionals looking for an efficient yet fun to drive car. 

Powertrain 

Propulsion for the Dongfeng Nammi comes from a permanent magnet synchronous motor sending power to the front wheel axle. Energy is supplied by a 42.3 kilowatt-hour lithium-iron phosphate battery.

It has an estimated range of 430 kilometers, proving its capability as a city car for daily drives, as well as a vehicle to use for spontaneous weekend adventures. 

Juicing up the battery from 30-80 percent using direct current charging takes only approximately 30 minutes. Meanwhile, alternating current charging systems will fill the battery from zero to 100 percent in about seven hours — ideal for overnight charging. 

The Dongfeng Nammi is also capable of vehicle-to-load charging, which could prove to be useful in certain situations. 

Exterior 

Outside, the Dongfeng Nammi offers automatic headlamps with daytime running lights, frameless doors with concealed door handles, and a set of 17-inch wheels. At the back, it gets LED taillamps, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a hydraulically-assisted tailgate. 

Interior 

The cabin of the Dongfeng Nammi is swathed in cute upholstery, specifically the quilted leather upholstery on the dashboard. Complementing it is a pull-out glovebox compartment that has design elements that look like a woman’s handbag or purse. 

Additional leather appointments can be found on its seats, steering wheel, and center armrest. 

Tech-wise, the Dongfeng Nammi features a five-inch LCD instrument cluster paired with a 12-inch LCD infotainment system. While it lacks Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, it is equipped with mobile phone mirroring for smartphone integration. 

Audio is sent to six speakers inside the vehicle. 

Notable too is its automatic parking feature, which makes use of its 12 radars (six at the front, six at the back).
