Ford Sync 3 now with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto

MANILA: Ford Sync 3 will be the latest version of Ford Sync added with enriched apps namely Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that will give the users a rich driving experience and enhanced features in its infotainment system. This has been officially announced at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) wherein the Sync 3 Release is planned to be rolled in the year 2017, and the current year's Ford models will be offered with the opportunity to upgrade their existing versions in the next year during the official release of the Sync 3. Prior to this Ford had divulged the facelifted 2017 Escape Crossover with the feature of SYNC 3 Infotainment System.

The Ford Sync Apps has several useful functions that will help the users to make calls through the control provided on the steering wheel, with the scope to access the entire phone's data based on the 4G LTE network. Furthermore, the user can have the opportunity to access the local apps with the support of a platform termed as AppLink which works on the foundation laid on an open source program namely SmarT Device Link.

The aim behind introducing this technology is to create a smart sync between the smart phone and car for making the user comfortable in accessing all the functions through a single channel. The impressive attributes includes the capability of unlocking the doors, sourcing the location of the parked vehicle, starting the vehicle remotely, notifying the current level of the fuel (also with the details pertaining to the data of the current fuel price and nearby gas stations) and syncing the device with Google Maps/Apple Maps for convenient navigation for the driver. This will be put into action by the command sent by the driver present on the steering wheel as a button indicating for voice activation seeking appropriate directions for the respective destination. Besides this the users will also be able to entertain themselves through music streaming.

One can expect this technology to enter the Philippines market soon after being introduced in the US as per the plan for the year 2017.
