Geely takes over Lynk & Co distributorship from UAAGI

GUANGZHOU: Geely Motor Philippines will take over the Lynk & Co distributorship in the Philippines from United Asia Automotive Group, Incorporated (UAAGI) in the final quarter of 2026.

In a statement, the Chinese automotive marque said the integration of operations forms part of its “One Geely” strategy, which will also increase its long-term investment in the Philippine market.

“Leveraging Geely’s established local operational foundation and resource capabilities in the Philippines, Lynk & Co will enhance its market responsiveness, accelerate product introduction and market expansion, and continuously address the evolving demands of local consumers for premium mobility,” the company shared.

Geely Auto International Corporation ASEAN RHD Business Unit General Manager Ye Qin expressed gratitude to UAAGI for its support and contributions to Lynk & Co’s growth in the Philippines.

“Since Lynk & Co entered the Philippine market, UAAGI has actively driven the brand’s local market development, laying a foundation for expanding our presence and serving local consumers. The Philippines remains a crucial market for Lynk & Co’s long-term development,” Qin was quoted as saying.

“Moving forward, we will continue to increase our investment in the Philippine market, enrich our product lineup, optimize our sales and service infrastructure, and enhance user experience, delivering better mobility experiences tailored to local consumer needs,” he added.

As part of its realignment plan, Lynk & Co will undergo a local brand refresh and introduce a new generation of premium products under the GMP operating framework, starting with the flagship 900 sport utility vehicle (SUV).

The full-size SUV will debut in the country to further enrich the brand’s local premium lineup.

As the marque’s flagship SUV, the Lynk & Co 900 focuses on space, comfort, and safety, with a goal of delivering “a refined experience that seamlessly balances comfort and smart capabilities for family premium travel.”

With the detailed product specifications and launch arrangements yet to be disclosed, here are some details about the Lynk & Co 900 based on its specifications overseas.

The said set-up can deliver:

• Innovative 180-degree rotating second-row seats
• Front and rear 30-inch 6K display screens
