Honda BR-V: Features explained
Honda Philippines has a good hold on the local market. It has a rich product catalogue that includes hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, and MPVs. This wide range of vehicles aids the brand to attract more people. Honda BR-V is doing a good job in helping the company continue to do so. The BR-V sits second in Honda’s MPV and SUV lineup for the Philippines. This is a capable 7-seater that is winning many hearts every day. Why is that happening? Honda is known for providing very silent engines and for loading its produces with as many features as it possibly can. And the BR-V is no exception. It comes with a plethora of features to talk about. In this story, we’re going to do just that.

Exterior features
Design
Honda BR-V is a friendly-looking car. It has got a happy face and a calmer side profile. To eliminate the boredom, Honda has provided character lines on the doors and roof rails. And the sporty alloy wheels also make things interesting. These aspects add just the right amount of sportiness. The rear end is where things are a bit louder than anywhere else. But the overall impression of the BR-V, as a family car, isn’t lost.
Stylish headlamps
The headlamps of the Honda BR-V have a youthful vibe with them. They are projector units and look really nice. Depending on which variant of the BR-V you’re buying, you’d get either the halogen setup or LEDs.

Attractive chrome grille
We’ve been seeing this in all Honda cars for quite some time now. A thick chrome grille at the front with the brand’s logo at the centre is what you’ll find even on the BR-V. We are not complaining. The grille and the headlamps gel in smoothly and together they create BR-V’s happy face.
Large tail lights
As we mentioned before, the rear end of the Honda BR-V is quite loud in terms of design. And the two piece combination tail lights are active participants in the gig. These tail lights are spread out more horizontally than vertically which makes the car look livelier.
Interior features

All-black cabin
Honda has given an all-black theme to the interior of the BR-V. There are a few touches of silver here and there to add a bit of contrast. An all-black theme does bring out more sportiness but it tends to make the cabin feel slightly less spacious than it actually is.
Sporty steering wheel
The three-spoke steering wheel on the BR-V is similar to what we’ve seen in other Honda cars. It features a few mounted controls for audio. Also, the silver accents on the steering wheel enhance the sporty feel. If you’re an enthusiast, then you’d definitely appreciate this touch-up. Another good thing for enthusiasts is the availability of paddle shifters.
7-inch touch screen display
Honda BR-V comes with a large 7-inch touch screen display that takes care of your entertainment needs. It supports Bluetooth, USB, and AUX connections. It also features navigation.

Comfortable seats
The seats in the Honda BR-V are very comfortable. To enhance the comfort level of the passengers in the 2nd row, Honda has added a couple of features. The 2nd row seats can be recline and slid to make more space. Of course, setting the seats as per passenger’s point of view will reduce the space in the last row. But having such options in the 2nd row is always welcome.
Rear AC vents
There are rear AC vents located on the ceiling of the BR-V. These vents come with independent controls and are a blessing to the rear passengers especially in peak summers.
Engine
There are two variants of the BR-V - 1.5 S CVT and 1.5 V Navi CVT. If you look closely, the Honda BR-V specs for both the models show a single engine option. It is a 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine that has been tuned to churn out 120 PS of max power at 6600 rpm and 145 Nm of peak torque at 4600 rpm. These are some healthy figures. The engine comes mated to Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology CVT which, just like the engine, is the only transmission option for both the variants.
Safety features

Honda didn’t differentiate between the two variants of the BR-V in the safety department. All the safety features come as standard in both the models. The BR-V comes with dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, speed sensing auto door lock, etc.
These were some of the key features of the BR-V. Do let us know what are your opinions about this car and which is your favorite feature. The Honda BR-V price for the 1.5 S CVT is Php 1.03 million and the 1.5 V Navi CVT will set you back by Php 1.15 million. You can pick either of the two models in any of the 6 available colors - Crystal Black Pearl, White Orchid Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Taffeta White, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Premium Amber Metallic.
