The event will be held at the Festival Mall in Muntinlupa on December 5-7, 2025.As seen on the photo posted on its official Facebook page, the Japanese automaker’s arm, a car with a long hood is covered, which most probably is the much-awaited liftback coupe.

Backing the aforementioned speculation was the company’s statement, saying that it will be “previewing the prelude to its future, the start of its new era of electrification and part of its continuous effort to provide customers with mobility solutions that are both fun-to-drive and sustainable and economical.”
Honda revealed that the next-generation Prelude is powered by a 2.0-liter e:HEV powertrain. This setup combines a two-liter direct inject gasoline-fed engine and two electric motors, which dish out:
|
Engine maximum output (in horsepower [hp>) |
141 |
|
Engine peak torque (in Newton-meters [Nm>) |
186 |
|
Electric motor maximum output (in hp) |
181 |
|
Electric motor peak torque (in Nm) |
315 |
The drivetrain is mated to Honda’s bespoke S+ Shift technology that simulates virtual gear changes. It also has paddle shifters on the steering wheel that gives manual control.
Such numbers allow the car to reach a top speed around 188 kilometers per hour or do 23.6 kilometers per liter consumption (based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Cycle standards).
As seen at the Japan Mobility Show, the Honda Prelude sports flowing proportions that connect the low and sharp front fascia to the roofline. Complementing such portions are the sharp-looking front illumination, hidden door handles, “connected” taillamps, and 19-inch wheels.
Inside the cabin are sporty front seats with low side support, leather appliques on the dash and door panels, dual digital screens, and an Alcantara leather-covered flat-bottom steering wheel.
Currently on its sixth generation, Honda decided to bring back the iconic nameplate after more than two decades of being discontinued.
On paper, the vehicle tapes in at:
|
Overall dimensions (length, width, height in millimeters) |
4,520 x 1,880 x 1,355 |
|
Wheelbase (in mm) |
2,605 |
|

|
|
Ground clearance (in mm) |
135 |
Also, Zigwheels Philippines has a strong belief that the model will be priced just a tad higher than the Civic Type R (which was reportedly to be down to its final examples as of last September).
The second edition of the Honda Fest — which will be held on December 5-7 at the Promenade Parking of the Festival Mall — is in line with HCPI’s celebration of its 35th anniversary and “appreciation for the trust and support Filipinos have shown Honda over the years.”
What can the public expect at Honda Fest
Aside from the anticipated reveal, attendees will also see well-loved previous generations of its current models, as well as the latest models equipped with modern technology, such as Honda CONNECT, Honda SENSING and the e:HEV full hybrid system.

They can also avail the 35-percent discount on Pro Honda Fully Synthetic Oil, drain plug washers, and oil filters — but on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to technician availability.
The Honda Fest will also provide the public with the opportunity to see the Pro Honda line —starting with its engine oil products.
Pro Honda was first introduced in 2023 exclusively for motorcycles but has been expanded for use in automobiles as part of HCPI’s bid to improve overall customer and ownership journey.
Soon, the Pro Honda lineup will further offer other lubricants and chemicals, precisely manufactured for Honda vehicles.
Lastly, Honda’s local motorcycle arm will also showcase the EM1 e: and CUV e: available onsite.
