Land Rover Defender Octa, Range Rover Sport SV Edition 2 to enter PH market this month

MANILA: Inchcape Philippines has confirmed the arrival of the Land Rover Defender Octa and Range Rover SV Sport Edition 2 locally this month.

Its much-awaited introduction comes months after Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Philippines President Chris Ward shared to Zigwheels Philippines its plan for 2025.

Per the European marque’s local arm, the two forthcoming models shall be formally revealed on May 21. However, the company did not wait for their formal introduction to share the details about the incoming products.

Here are some bits of information about the two models that Land Rover Philippines shared on its website.

Land Rover Defender Octa

Under the Land Rover Defender’s hood is a V8 engine with 48-volt mild hybrid system that can provides a peak churn of:

Peak torque (in Newton-meters [Nm>)	750

Based on the marque’s studies, the aforementioned mill configuration lets the vehicle sprint 0-100 kilometers per hour (kph) in four seconds and emits 294 grams/kilometer (g/km).

It also has a one-meter wading depth (twice the capacity of the original Defender) that matches the vehicle’s ground clearance and wheel articulation.

Assuring the vehicle’s controllability and are its new Integrated Power Brake system that is made up of model-specific brake pads, calipers and brake discs; 838-millimeter diameter tires (the largest ever fitted to a Defender); and 6D Dynamic air suspension (with hydraulic interlinked dampers and height-adjustable air springs).           

Inside the vehicle are its Moonlight Chrome switchgear, optional Chopped Carbon Fiber finisher, and a new steering wheel design that features translucent edge-lit paddle shifters.

Customers may choose between four colorways and contemporary materials including UltrafabricsTM PU or Semi-Aniline leather — each option donning unique features such as graphic embellishments and the Kvadrat Steelcut that is solely available on the Defender Octa.

Land Rover Range Rover Sport SV Edition 2

On the other hand, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport SV Edition 2 is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine in mild-hybrid set-up that can dish out:

Such configuration allows the vehicle to sprint 0-100 kph in 3.6 seconds.

Its cabin is made up of Black Ceramic finishes, seats covered in Ultrafabrics, a steering wheel with pronounced thumb grips and innovative translucent edge-lit gearshift paddles.

Per Land Rover Philippines, the Range Rover Sport SV Edition 2 will be available in the following color options:

• Blue Nebula
• Marl Grey
• Sunrise Copper
• Ligurian Black
