Mazda PH brings Fan Festa back to the track

MANILA: With the temporary suspension of local races (due to the oil crisis) lifted, Mazda Philippines brought the Fan Festa back to the track for its second leg. 

Of note, Leg 1 of the Mazda Fan Festa focused on virtual racing in adherence to the said Automobile Association of the Philippines order. 

Held at the Clark International Speedway, the local wing of the Japanese carmaker — under the stewardship of Bermaz Auto Philippines — gathered fans of the brand for a weekend of excitement.

Track attack

Arguably one of the highlights of the weekend was having cars race through the circuit. 

In segmented schedules throughout the day, Manila Sports Car Club (MSCC) and Miata Club of the Philippines (MCP) members put their rides through their paces through practice laps, time trial events, and the two heats that made up the race proper.

Despite the sporadic showers, participants were eager to test themselves in the tarmac. 

Track experiences were also available, allowing participants to take out Mazda’s sedans, sport utility vehicles, and pickup trucks to the track.

Other activities

Aside from the competition that took place on the racecourse, there were also other activities for eventgoers to partake in. 

Games were available at various booths from the Mazda Fan Festa partners. Each kiosk allowed visitors to win fun prizes (and purchase merchandise) that they could take home and remember their time at the track.

Food and refreshments were also available through event partners.

There were also sim race rigs that provided those who follow the motoring beat an adrenaline-filled experience.

From the thrill of motorsport to shared moments on and off the track, it was a celebration of the passion that connects every Mazda owner and enthusiast,” Mazda Philippines wrote in a social media post.
