MG Motor PH retails 9k units in 2024

MANILA: Morris Garages (MG) Motor Philippines has managed to sell a total of 9,016 units in 2024 - the brand’s highest yearly sales figure since it started operating in the local market. 

Per the Chinese marque’s local arm, its success last year was primarily driven by three models: the MG ZS, G50 Plus, and the MG 5. Additionally, the brand shared that the MG 5 saw 3,415 units sold in 2024, placing it as the best-selling nameplate in the 1.5-liter subcompact sedan segment. 

The SAIC-managed corporation likewise attributed its forward thrust in sales for 2024 to its strengthened national dealership network. Currently, MG already has 46 retail outlets nationwide. 

“Surpassing 9,000 units sold in a single year is a remarkable achievement for MG Motor Philippines,” SAIC Motor Philippines President Felix Jiang said. 

“We are grateful to our customers, dealer partners, bank partners, and employees for their unwavering support. This success fuels our drive to deliver even more in 2025,” Jiang added. 

While MG Motor Philippines saw stellar performance in 2024, it will further strive to reach new heights in 2025. In particular, it promised to introduce more new models, open more dealerships, and further enhance its client-focused programs in the months to come.
