MG PH marks Q3, 4th anniversary with 20,000-unit sales

MANILA: The sale of the 20,888th brand-new MG vehicle by MG Philippines in Q3 2022 marks an important brand milestone for the company. This coincides with the local distributor’s entry to the final quarter of 2022 and its fourth anniversary. 

Looking back, it can be seen that MG Philippines first reached the 10,000 car sales milestone in the middle of 2021. This was after the company had returned to the local market in October 2018 with the help of official distributor The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI).

With the sale of over 20,000 MG automobiles this year, MG Philippines has more than doubled that accomplishment in just over a year. This accomplishment shows the MG brand's rapid expansion in the nation and the confidence Filipino drivers have in MG Philippines and TCCCI.

MG Philippines lineup consists of six vehicles: the sporty MG 6 fastback sedan; the ever-popular ZS crossover SUV and its turbocharged sibling the ZST; the versatile and spacious MG RX5 SUV; the recently launched MG HS SUV that offers a premium drive, plush interiors, and elegant styling; and the MG 5 Sedan that is feature packed, spacious, and a class leader in dimensions and on-board tech for its segment.

Atty. Alberto B. Arcilla, President and CEO of MG Philippines, explained the reason behind the brand’s sales success.

This most recent achievement by MG Philippines is in line with the company's global "Mission 100" goal, which seeks to sell 1 million MG vehicles worldwide in at least 100 sites by 2024.

All foreign MG markets, including those in Europe, the Middle East, South America, greater and Southeast Asia, and Australia, participate in the global brand initiative. The release of "Mission 100" also marks MG's 100th birthday in 2024.

Reaching the 20,000 unit mark was a significant motivator for MG Philippines, signifying the need for the company to keep evolving and innovating while maintaining dependable consistency in its goods and services.
