Mitsubishi establishes new EV-related service company

MANILA: Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus, and Mitsubishi Motors have established a new company that will provide electric vehicle (EV)-related services to a wide variety of users in Japan.

Per the Japanese auto firm, the name of the company is EVNION.

EVNION — Mitsubishi noted — will operate a unique online platform called EVNION PLACE that will offer comprehensive services to EV owners in the country, regardless of the brand they drive.

The platform is planned to be launched in August 2024.

Available services will include charging equipment for EVs, power supply contracts and energy management, charging solutions for supporting introduction and operation of EVs, and consulting services for decarbonization.

Further, the platform will also provide EV-related news and useful information when introducing and operating emissions-free models.

“Customers transitioning from conventional vehicles to EVs face various changes and have many questions, and this platform, with its integration of all necessary information and services, will certainly assist them in their journey,” Mitsubishi wrote in a press release.

“After the launch, the platform will gradually expand the content to commit to Japan's target to realize carbon neutrality by 2050, and DX (digital transformation),” the company added.
