Mitsubishi Triton showcased at Sinulog 2024

MANILA: The upcoming Mitsubishi Triton joined the Sinulog Grand Parade in Cebu yesterday, giving Cebuanos an overview of the brand’s pickup truck prior to its launch.

Joining the Triton in its float were Miss International 2023 Third Runner-Up Nicole Borromeo and social media influencer Bisaya Squad.

The pickup truck was also displayed at SM Seaside Cebu last January 14-18.

Soon to replace the Strada, the Triton embodies toughness and dependability with its powerful performance and modern amenities.

The pickup truck features the iconic Dynamic Shield Design with square-shaped grille and new headlight design. It will be available in seven colors: White Diamond, Graphite Gray, Jet Black, Red Solid, White Solid, Yamabuki Orange, and Blade Silver.

According to Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation, the Triton will feature an enhanced suspension design with a new shock-absorption system.

The Triton is also designed with a larger bed than the Strada. The bed measures 2,340 millimeters (mm) long, 1,580 mm wide, and 515 mm deep. The bed floor height is also lowered to 821 mm.

Inside, the Triton features a more spacious cabin than its predecessor. It is equipped with a nine-inch infotainment touchscreen with improved connectivity features.

Under the hood of the pickup truck is powered by a 2.4-liter bi-turbo diesel engine that can churn out up to 201 horsepower and 470 Newton-meters of torque.

The all-new Triton also comes with an extensive list of safety features, including forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection and object detection. The top-of-the-line Athlete variant is also equipped with a multi-around view monitor and rear cross traffic alert.

With these advanced safety features, the pickup truck was able to earn a five-star rating from the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia.

The all-new Triton will be launched in the Philippines on January 26. It will be available in six variants, with pricing that ranges from P1.134 million-P1.561 million.
